cattery is PKD Negative
British Short hair re-known for its wonderful cobby
chops is a very easy going cat. Gives much delight to
its owner. They do moult quite a lot and do need
grooming during the summer months. They can even
produce hair balls. They are a good family cat,
and are not destructive. Ideal for couples who work full
time. Buying in pairs is often something people do
because they want company for the kitten whilst they are
not at home. Children get along fine with the
British because they are an easy going cat. The
British has a lovely dense coat which is often described
as Crisp. The males in this breed are far bigger
than the females, and they are the ones that have the
large cobby head shape. Females can be
considerably smaller. Average weight of a male can
be 4.5 kilos upwards. Eye colour varies between
different colours. The self's have an Amber eye
colour, the colour points have a blue eye colour and the
black tipped have green eye colour. They also come
in varies colour coats from colour points, to self, to
bi colour, to tabby, to tortie.
